society of jesus is a universal body.
for administrative purposes, the global society is divided into nine assistancies. an assistancy is a group of provinces. the nine assistancies are: south asia, east asia-oceania, south europe, west europe, cerntral eastern europe, africa, north latin america, south latin america and u.s.a.
these assistancies are again divided into smaller provinces. in south asian assistancy, we have 20 provinces.
