jesuit provincial is the major superior for the province where he is. he is the spiritual leader cum administrator of the province.

rev. fr. joseph kallepallil s.j. took over as the provincial of kerala province on 12th may, 2009. with rich experience of dealing with people, fr. joseph leads the province on the path of progress. he had been socius to the provincial for many years before becoming provincial.
