Our Work

The society of Jesus has never hesitated to engage in any ministry that demanded their apostolic involvement. Be it Astrophysics or Architecture, Teaching or Manual labour, Jesuits had a YES to say to the divine will. Therefore, as Fr. Arrupe (former Superior General of the Society of Jesus) would say, the Society has no particular charism, but is charism is to respond to the needs of the time.

In the recent General Congregation 35 held in Rome, His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI told Jesuits worldwide that the Church needs us, counts on us and continues to turn to us with confidence. This was a great appreciation from the parto of the Church. As it was from the time of St. Ignatius, Jesuits respond wholeheartedly to the needs of the time. Therefore, there is no limiting factor that holds us back from serving the mission of Christ in various ways and filds.
