the assistancy consultation 2010 is being convened for three days at xlri, jamshedpur on 25-27 october 2010. it was felt that the fruits of the zonal assemblies should be in some way consolidated and brought to a satisfying culmination at the assistancy meet. it will reflect on three major thrust areas that were predominantly identified as vitally urgent and relevant in the contemporary context: ecological crisis and response; displacement and migration of peoples due to conflicts related to development / human rights; the community dimensions of our life/identity/ mission. the assistancy consultation preparatory committee includes fr george pattery (convener), fr tony da silva (goa), fr keith abranches (guj), and fr francis serrao (kar). they will co-opt other members as required and work out the dynamics of this important consultation. along with fr provincial, frs m. k. george, jose mathew, jose thachil and john francis will participate from our province.
